He has reached a stage where everything is a struggle. He fights to put on a diaper, he fights to put on a shirt, he fights to put on pants, and he literally struggles constantly when you hold him. Gone are the days that he was content to sit on your lap and gaze at you because you were the most interesting thing in the world.
After four days together, Hudson and I are finally getting into our own groove. I'm not sure if it was because he was sick before I started my parental leave, or if it's simply a matter of adjusting to Dad being home instead of Mom, but we've had a really exhausting couple of days.
Tonight will be the real test. We haven't had a full night sleep since the first day that he got sick about two weeks ago. If he can sleep through the night tonight I can be sure that the transition week has been a big success.
